GIRLSTUFF is a phrase often used to minimize, dismiss, or oversimplify women-led work. We chose it intentionally. What’s labeled as “girl stuff” is often the work shaping culture and driving brands: creative direction, visual instinct, community, storytelling, and taste. The details. The intuition. The point of view. GIRLSTUFF exists to take that seriously. As a creative studio, we bring structure, strategy, and execution to the kind of work that’s too often underestimated. The Founder
GIRLSTUFF Media is led by Janicel Diaz, a social media strategist, content creator, and creative director with nearly a decade of experience in digital media.
Janicel has been working in social media since 2017, collaborating with a wide range of brands, from national names like Nordstrom and Poppi to small and growing businesses across lifestyle, grocery, skincare, and wellness. Her background spans both agency and in-house roles, giving her a deep understanding of how to adapt strategy across different brand sizes, industries, and budgets.
In addition to strategy and management, Janicel brings a strong visual foundation to her work. She has experience as a photographer, shooting content at both large and small scales, and approaches social media with a creative eye rooted in storytelling. She studied film and directing, where creative direction, visual composition, and narrative became central to her work, skills that now translate directly into thoughtful, high-performing social content.
After years of building brands within other companies and agencies, Janicel founded GIRLSTUFF Media to create a women-led, women-focused studio that takes social media seriously , as both a creative craft and a strategic business tool. Girlstuff Media exists to help brands show up online with clarity, intention, and confidence.
